Atlantis joint & spine pain, treated without surgery.
Atlantis is a gated golf city of roughly 2,100 people, its homes wrapped around the fairways of the Atlantis Country Club and the 27 holes of the Lost City course. It is one of the closest communities to our Lake Worth Beach clinic — often under ten minutes. When a knee, hip, or elbow starts cutting rounds short, James C. Padula, DO offers an unhurried, non-surgical evaluation just up the road.

The Closest Golf City to the Clinic
Most of Palm Beach County's golf communities are a real drive from us; Atlantis is not. The entire 1.4-square-mile city sits about four miles from the clinic, its single gated core built around two golf clubs — the semi-private Atlantis Country Club, home of the long-running Pop Sikes Father & Son Championship, and the 27-hole Lost City course. Residents here golf-cart the loop roads and play most days, and they measure convenience in minutes, not miles.
That proximity changes the calculation when a joint starts to complain. A resident who would put off a thirty-minute trip will make a ten-minute one, and an aching knee or hip is easier to address before it forces you off the course. Atlantis also borders the HCA Florida JFK Hospital campus, so many residents already know the local hospital well — but a hospital visit and a non-surgical evaluation are two different conversations.

The clinic is not inside the gates — it sits at 1926 10th Avenue North in Lake Worth Beach, about four miles away. From the Atlantis entrance, take Congress Avenue or Lantana Road to I-95 North and exit at 10th Avenue North, usually eight to twelve minutes. That makes Atlantis one of the closest communities we serve, and the consultation itself is free.
James C. Padula, DO, who has spent more than two and a half decades treating joints and spines in South Florida, runs the visit himself. He takes your history, examines the joint, and reviews any imaging you bring — X-rays or an MRI from a JFK orthopedist are welcome. If PRP or another regenerative approach isn't likely to help, he tells you plainly, and you pay $0 if there's no medical need.

Golf Knees, Hips, and the Elbow That Won't Quit
A lifetime of golf loads the same joints again and again. The lead knee absorbs the rotation of every swing, the hips turn thousands of times a season, and the trailing elbow takes the strain that shows up as golfer's elbow. Much of this is tendon and cartilage wear rather than an automatic surgical case, and non-surgical care — including PRP where it fits — aims to calm the joint so you can keep playing. Results vary from person to person, and no outcome is promised.
Knees and hips carry the bigger question of whether a replacement is coming. Where arthritis is mild to moderate, regenerative medicine may help postpone or avoid surgery; where a joint is truly bone-on-bone, it will not, and Dr. Padula says so rather than sell a series of injections. The free visit is an honest sorting — who has a realistic non-surgical path, and who is better served by a surgeon.
